Abstract
According to its descriptive nature, this booklet is an intermediate between an atlas and a series of well-illustrated case studies undertaken with a view towards possible epilepsy surgery at a time when modern diagnostic tools were not available. Since exhaustive invasive presurgical evaluation is diminishing because of the today's availability of modern non-invasive imaging techniques, the findings of these patients might help to better understand the role of the explored deep brain structures in various types of epilepsy.
