## Abstract

A comparison of the differential cross sections for the processes $Z/\gamma^{*}$ + jets and photon ($\gamma$) + jets is presented. The measurements are based on data collected with the CMS detector at $\sqrt{s}$=8 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 $fb^{-1}$ inverse femtobarns. The differential cross sections and their ratios are presented as functions of pt. The measurements are also shown as functions of the jet multiplicity. Differential cross sections are obtained as functions of the ratio of the $Z/\gamma^{*}$ pt to the sum of all jet transverse momenta and of the ratio of the $Z/\gamma^{*}$ pt to the leading jet transverse momentum. The data are corrected for detector effects and are compared to simulations based on several QCD calculations.

## TrendTerms

TrendTerms displays relevant terms of the abstract of this publication and related documents on a map. The terms and their relations were extracted from ZORA using word statistics. Their timelines are taken from ZORA as well. The bubble size of a term is proportional to the number of documents where the term occurs. Red, orange, yellow and green colors are used for terms that occur in the current document; red indicates high interlinkedness of a term with other terms, orange, yellow and green decreasing interlinkedness. Blue is used for terms that have a relation with the terms in this document, but occur in other documents.
You can navigate and zoom the map. Mouse-hovering a term displays its timeline, clicking it yields the associated documents.
