On October 17, 2008 the bianually held Symposium of the Commission,Clinical Studies" of the German Society for Neurology took place in Essen. It was agreed that neurology in Germany continues to be well represented in national and international studies. The approval of radiological procedures during clinical trials and the initiation and performance of investigator-initiated studies still seem to present problems.
