Stefanenko, E A; Ivanova, E M; Enikolopov, S N; Proyer, Rene T; Ruch, Willibald (2011). The fear of being laughed at diagnostics: russian adaption of gelotophobia questionnair. Psychological Journal, 32(2):94-108.

Abstract

International review of gelotophobia (the fear of being laughed at) researches is presented. Russian-language
adaptation of gelotophobia questionnaire is carried out (n = 216); its high reliability (α = 0,83) and
one-factor structure were confi rmed. Gelotophobia intensity is shown to be independent of demographic
variables (gender, age, marital status). The score of 7.41% of Russian subjects exceeded the threshold
level, thus indicating the light degree of gelotophobia. Cross-cultural analysis indicated that occurrence
of gelotophobia in Russia is lower than in German, higher than in Austria and close to those in China and
Switzerland. Gelotophobia in citizens of towns with low population (Kostroma) is higher than in citizens
of big ones (Moscow).

TrendTerms

TrendTerms displays relevant terms of the abstract of this publication and related documents on a map. The terms and their relations were extracted from ZORA using word statistics. Their timelines are taken from ZORA as well. The bubble size of a term is proportional to the number of documents where the term occurs. Red, orange, yellow and green colors are used for terms that occur in the current document; red indicates high interlinkedness of a term with other terms, orange, yellow and green decreasing interlinkedness. Blue is used for terms that have a relation with the terms in this document, but occur in other documents.
You can navigate and zoom the map. Mouse-hovering a term displays its timeline, clicking it yields the associated documents.
