Search for pair production of second-generation scalar leptoquarks in pp collisions at √s=7  TeV

CMS Collaboration; Khachatryan, V; Amsler, C; Chiochia, V (2011). Search for pair production of second-generation scalar leptoquarks in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV. Physical Review Letters, 106(20):201803.

Abstract

A search for pair production of second-generation scalar leptoquarks in the final state with two muons and two jets is performed using proton-proton collision data at √s=7  TeV collected by the CMS detector at the LHC. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 34  pb-1. The number of observed events is in good agreement with the predictions from the standard model processes. An upper limit is set on the second-generation leptoquark cross section times β2 as a function of the leptoquark mass, and leptoquarks with masses below 394 GeV are excluded at a 95% confidence level for β=1, where β is the leptoquark branching fraction into a muon and a quark. These limits are the most stringent to date. Published by the American Physical Society under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License. TrendTerms

TrendTerms displays relevant terms of the abstract of this publication and related documents on a map. The terms and their relations were extracted from ZORA using word statistics. Their timelines are taken from ZORA as well. The bubble size of a term is proportional to the number of documents where the term occurs. Red, orange, yellow and green colors are used for terms that occur in the current document; red indicates high interlinkedness of a term with other terms, orange, yellow and green decreasing interlinkedness. Blue is used for terms that have a relation with the terms in this document, but occur in other documents.
You can navigate and zoom the map. Mouse-hovering a term displays its timeline, clicking it yields the associated documents.
