Abstract
This chapter describes the reflexive construction in Luganda, a Great Lakes Bantu language spoken in Uganda. The reflexive construction in Luganda is formed with the invariable reflexivizer ee-, a verbal prefix immediately preceding the stem, which can be reconstructed to Proto-Bantu. There are no reflexive pronouns in Luganda. The prefix is obligatorily used to express coreference between the subject and the patient object in transitive verbs and there is no difference between introverted and extroverted verbs.
