Establishing the body plan of a multicellular organism relies on precisely orchestrated cell divisions coupled with pattern formation. In animals, cell proliferation and embryonic patterning are regulated by Polycomb group (PcG) proteins that form various multisubunit complexes (Grossniklaus and Paro, 2014).
