Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) is usually insufficient to accurately predict the risk for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), it is therefore necessary to identify an additional biomarker that would most likely improve the accuracy of OGTT. The current OGTT was performed in 53 volunteers after ingestion of 75 g glucose in 250 ml water to each volunteer.
