Prostaglandin (PG) E2 plays a crucial role in the endocrine network of canine parturition and we hypothesized that PGE2, 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (HPGD) and PG-transporter (PGT) might be involved in the development of primary uterine inertia (PUI).
