Objectives: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to estimate the worldwide prevalence of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis using the 2017 World Workshop criteria. Data and sources: A comprehensive electronic search was performed in MEDLINE/PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, and Web of Science databases. Cross-sectional studies assessing the prevalence of peri-implant diseases according to the 2017 Classification of Periodontal and Peri-Implant Diseases and Conditions classification were included.
