AIM: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of chlorhexidine (CHX) with an antidiscoloration system (ADS) on stain, plaque accumulation, and gingivitis. METHODS: A randomized, controlled clinical trial was conducted in 26 students. After a preparatory period, the students were randomly assigned to either group P (placebo), group T1 (0.12% CHX without an ADS), or group T2 (0.12% CHX with an ADS).
