BackgroundAgonistic anti-CD40 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have emerged as promising immunotherapeutic compounds with impressive antitumor effects in mouse models. However, preclinical and clinical studies faced dose-limiting toxicities mediated by necroinflammatory liver disease.
