Abstract
In an era of Biology where modern imaging and sequencing technologies allow to study almost any biological process at molecular levels, it is now possible to study the content, activity and identity of single cells from almost any organism. High-throughput sequencing technologies are now widely used in laboratories around the globe and are able to routinely sequence the genetic content of thousands or even millions of cells. Not only it is used to study basic cellular properties but also to understand the mechanisms underlying disease
