The grinding intensity of pig feed is considered one potential predisposing factor for gastric ulcers, and a variety of particle size recommendations have been published for pig feeds. We subjected 51 different commercial compound feeds for pigs (38 meals, 13 pellets/granulates) to dry and/or wet sieve analysis.
