| dc.description.abstract | Aufgrund widersprüchlicher Resultate hinsichtlich des Nutzens radikaler Therapien und angesichts signifikanter Nebenwirkungen werden zur Behandlung des Prostatakarzinoms dringend neue, weniger invasive Therapieoptionen gesucht. Die fokale Therapie der Prostata mittels HIFU ist eine der vielversprechendsten neuen Strategien, welche aktuell im Rahmen klinischer Studien evaluiert wird. Oberstes Ziel bleibt die Erhaltung der Lebensqualität durch Vermeidung von Inkontinenz und Impotenz bei gleichzeitiger Tumorkontrolle. | |
