Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare, aggressive primary cutaneous neuroendocrine carcinoma, frequently associated with clonal Merkel cell polyomavirus integration. MCC can pose significant diagnostic challenges due to its diverse clinical presentation and its broad histological differential diagnosis.
