Consonant f0 (CF0), the phenomenon in which the vowel onset f0 tends to be higher following a voiceless consonant than following a voiced consonant, has been commonly observed across the world’s languages. The present study examined this effect in vowels following stop consonants of Catalan, using one of the largest language-specific datasets available in the Mozilla Common Voice Corpus, which after filtering, contained over 150 hours of validated speech data from over 1000 speakers.
