This is a shortened and popularized version of the valedictory lecture, "Was ist eine gute Weltanschauung?", Studia Philosophica, 75, 2016, 203-215. In addition, the last section describes a refugee who arrived in Switzerland from the Dachau Concentration Camp – by publishing, for the first time, materials from the minutes of an interview by the military police of the Swiss Army (26. 11. 1942) and from corresponding decisions by the Swiss authorities.
