Ad fontes : zu Konzept, Realisierung und Nutzung eines E-Learning-Angebots

Abstract

Die Arbeit analysiert das Konzept, die Implementierung und die Nutzung des E-Learning-Angebotes Ad fontes (www.adfontes.unizh.ch). Ad fontes wurde am Historischen Seminar der Universität Zürich entwickelt und richtet sich an Studierende, die mit den speziellen Problemen der historischen Forschung in Archiven konfrontiert werden. Teil 1 beleuchtet den theoretischen Hintergrund und diskutiert Lerntheorien und E-Learning-Szenarien sowie die Themen Multimedia, Hypertext und Interaktivität. Teil 2 führt in die Funktionalität und den Inhalt von Ad fontes ein und beleuchtet einige didaktische, organisatorische, gestalterische und technische Aspekte des Konzepts und der Implementierung. Teil 3 beschreibt die Nutzung von Ad fontes in verschiedenen universitären Lehrveranstaltungen und die dabei gewonnenen Erfahrungen. Ad fontes wurde intern und extern evaluiert. Die Resultate dieser Evaluationen werden zusammengefasst und reflektiert. Statistische Auswertungen von Server- und Benutzerdaten geben einen quantitativen Überblick über den Gebrauch von Ad fontes und überprüfen einige Annahmen und Hypothesen aus dem Konzept empirisch. Einige Gedanken zur Rentabilität von Ad fontes und E-Learning generell schliessen die Arbeit ab.

This study analyzes the concept, implementation and use of the e-learning application Ad fontes (www.adfontes.unizh.ch). Ad fontes has been developed at the History Department of the University of Zurich and targets students confronted with the special problems of historical research in archives. Part 1 focuses on the theoretical background and discusses learning theories and e-learning scenarios as well as the topics of multimedia, hypertext and interactivity. Part 2 gives an introduction to the functionality and the content of Ad fontes and highlights some didactical, organisational, creative and technical aspects of the concept and the implementation. Part 3 describes the use of Ad fontes in several university courses and the experiences gained. Ad fontes has been evaluated internally and by external experts. The results of these evaluations are summarised and reflected. A statistical analysis of server and user data gives a quantitative overview over the usage of Ad fontes and verifies some assumptions and theses from the concept empirically. Some thoughts about the cost-effectiveness of Ad fontes and e-learning in general conclude the study.
