With the rapid economic development and increased national financial support for scientific research in China, there has been considerable progress in the technological innovation capabilities of the country. According to the China Institute of Science and Technology Information, from 2009 to 2019, Chinese scholars published a total of 2,606,400 papers in peer‐reviewed international journals that were cited 28,452,300 times.
