Abstract
The fourth volume continues the highly regarded series of Zoo Animal Nutrition books. Based on papers from the 5th European Zoo Nutrition Conference held in Chester in 2008, it draws upon the expertise of nutritionists, veterinarians, zoo professionals, lab and field-based biologists and represents current research in this field. Nutritional considerations for mammal, bird and reptile species are described, in addition to papers on conservation nutrition, digestive physiology, clinical nutrition, feed composition and food presentation. The book is an excellent resource for anyone with an interest in the challenging task of feeding captive wildlife.
