Transcription of Pseudo-Ptolemy, Kitāb al-Aḥjār, Paris Version (update 24.03.2023), Ptolemaeus Arabus et Latinus

Abstract

The present transcription is based on Paris, BnF, arabe 2772, ff. 39r-44v (= P). References to a different version of the same work in Vatican City, BAV, Sbath 48, ff. 19r-21v (= V) have been added in the notes. Spelling guidelines established by the project Ptolemaeus Arabus et Latinus have been followed throughout. Textual dividers found in the base witness have been rendered as paragraph marks; full stops have been supplemented at the end of paragraphs. I am grateful to Paul Hullmeine for various suggestions.
