Abstract
In this work, dielectric response of water in solutions of hemoglobin (Hb) in its different states (MetHb, OxyHb and DeoxyHb) is considered. Dielectric response is interpreted in a unified manner by considering α(lnτ) dependence. It was shown that hydration of the protein is characterized by a mixed type of interaction. Moreover, a transition from a dipole-ion type of interaction to a dipole-dipole one occurs.
