Abstract
An analysis is performed of recent results from studies of heavy-ion physics by the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) Collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (CERN). Tests of quark–gluon plasma in the CMS detector provide valuable information about the behavior of matter under the extreme conditions of ultra high-energy nucleus–nucleus collisions.
