Using enzymatic amplification by aldolase for the optical detection of DNA by an artificial signal cascade

Graf, Nora; Kassube, Susanne A; Krämer, Roland (2008). Using enzymatic amplification by aldolase for the optical detection of DNA by an artificial signal cascade. Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 18(17):4786-4788.

Abstract

A two-step reaction cascade is applied to the sequence-specific detection of single-stranded DNA, including analyte-triggered re-activation of apo-aldolase by its cofactor Zn(2+) and catalytic conversion of a chromophore.
