Asthma is a widespread respiratory disease affecting millions of children. Salbutamol is a well-established bronchodilator available to treat asthma. However, response to bronchodilators is very heterogeneous, particularly in children. Pharmacometabolomics via exhaled breath analysis holds promise for patient stratification.
