This contribution investigates the verbal morphology of the alpine-lombard dialect spoken in Val Bregaglia (Canton Grisons, Switzerland), examining the paradigmatic distribution of stem allomorphy in the variety of the upper part of the valley (Sopraporta). The paper consists of a first part aimed at providing an overview of the morphological specificities of the verbal inflection of the dialect under scrutiny and of a second part dedicated to an in-depth analysis of the data focusing on the identification of autonomously morphologica
