This paper provides a linguistic analysis of the Old English material transmitted in St Gallen, Stiftsbibliothek, Cod. Sang. 913. This eighth-century manuscript is famous among Old High German scholars, as it includes the so-called Vocabularius Sancti Galli, a Latin-German glossary, which was mistakenly identified as belonging to Gallus, the patron saint of the Abbey of St. Gallen, who died in c.645.
