Abstract
The studies which make up this volume are offered in honor of Adrian Schenker on the occasion of his retirement. The teaching and the work of this highly esteemed scholar invite others to consider Writ and Spirit which both constitute the nature of Holy Scripture. Adrian Schenker both constitute the nature of Holy Scripture. Adrian Schenker has always paid attention to both aspects. His works deals, on the one hand with textual criticism and the history of the text of the Old Testament, and on the other, with many theological topics such as sin and reconciliation, sacrifice and liturgy, law and justice.
The contributions gathered in this book are like a many-colored bouquet of flowers, like the work of the scholar they celebrate. While some of them deal with aspects of biblical Writ, others deal with its Spirit, and still others combine the two. The authors – friends, colleagues and students confessions.
